FDA bioterrorism registration is required for each and every facility that serves protect the citizens of the USA from a terrorist attack that introduces harmful bio-chemicals to the populace through food. After the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001, many things have changed in the United States of America. Time has been spent to find any and all areas where the USA may be venerable to various kinds of terrorist attacks.

Many different areas were discovered and the United States government has worked hard and fast to shore up each of these areas. One of the possibilities found had to do with foods that could contain some type of hazardous material in hopes of harming Americans. Laws were put into place to make sure this would no longer be a weak point.

FDA bioterrorism registration is required by law for any facility that stores, produces, processes or packages food for consumption in the USA to register with the Food and Drug Administration. This allows the FDA to know where almost all of the food consumed in the USA to be tracked. If there is problem, the culprit can be found quickly and easily.

Exceptions to FDA Bioterrorism Registration
There are a few exceptions to the FDA bioterrorism registration requirements. These exceptions apply to domestic situations alone. They include: restaurants, personal farms, farms that provide food for the farm only or through a roadside stand, unbottled water, fishing vessels, grocery stores, food transportation vehicles, nonprofit food establishments and places that are entirely covered by the United States Agricultural department.
